The House |
Tregoose is a typical Cornish country house. Built in the early 1840s but very much in the Regency style, it is comfortable and elegant. The house stands at the centre of the garden amidst rolling Cornish country. It is very much a family home and Anthony and Alison's three children visit whenever they can escape London. |

The lane to Tregoose leads between fields to the front gate where the drive up to the house continues through the garden to an area beside the house with ample parking for guests' cars. Alison greets guests and shows them to their rooms. Guests are welcome to bring their own dogs, but dogs at Tregoose do not go upstairs, though they are welcome to sleep in the kitchen or in the car. |

Tea is served in the drawing room where guests are welcome to relax after their journey. We ask guests not to smoke in the house.
Alison, who is also from Cornwall, practised horticulture and garden design for all her professional life. She holds a NDH and trained, amongst other places, at Waterperry near Oxford. She is something of an authority on Cornish plants and gardens and will happily recommend those which are at their peak.
